"At the Villa Nemetia the sleepers
Are disturbed by a phantom in weepers;
It beats all night long
A dirge on a gong
As it staggers about in the creepers

The crisp, cool autumn air brings with it another Halloween! Another excuse to eat things you probably shouldn't, another Twilight Zone marathon, another Simpson's Halloween special, another lame last-minute costume for the office party you forgot about. Trick or Treating is one of those things you loved to do as a kid, and you still wish you could still do as an adult. (although some 18 year-old "kids" still come to our door each year demanding goodies - without a costume!) One of the most memorable things about my halloweens as a kid was an old Disney Halloween music/sound effects record we would play at night to scare ourselves.

I've posted one of my own musical Halloween musings here: candy - a little piece I wrote for a SeaWorld Halloween Children's Musical. A few years back, I also did a setting of Edward Gorey's "Gashleycrumb Tinies" for the "Really Irate Pirates." If we get around to recording it soon, I'll post it on the RIP page.

Nothing much new to report this month. Some exiting things happening this winter season - I'll keep you posted in the coming months.

Until then:

Happy Halloween!
